Lamberts Choline 200mg / Inositol 200mg, 60 Capsules

Choline and inositol are both lipotropic agents that play an important role in fat metabolism in the liver and the emulsification of fats in the body. Choline is also a precursor of the neurotransmitter (brain chemical) acetylcholine, which is essential for normal brain activity.

Choline is known to be essential in animal and human metabolism; it is not an essential vitamin in man since it is synthesized in the body. Its action is related to that of the B Vitamins. Choline together with glycerol and fatty acids are constituents of lecithin. Choline also helps to form acetylcholine, an essential neurotransmitter. Inositol is a water soluble substance found associated in food with the B vitamins. Inositol is closely associated with choline and, like choline; it appears to be involved in fat metabolism, particularly in relation to the liver.

- A useful source of choline and inositol that is soya free
- If soya allergy is not a problem then consider Lecithin Granules as an alternative source
- Choline is a key component of the brain chemical, acetylcholine
- The importance of choline in the diet has just been recognised by the introduction of an RDA for this nutrient
